Ukrainische Streitkräfte greifen 4 russische Militärflughäfen mit Drohnen an

It has been reported that in the early hours of 14 August in Moscow, Ukraine used drones to launch attacks on four Russian military airfields.

The National Security Service of Ukraine (NSSU), the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Unmanned Systems Unit of the Ukrainian Army conducted a large-scale attack using long-range drones on Russian military airports in Voronezh, Kursk, Savaslika and Borisoglebsk.

Ukrainian President Zelensky praised the attack as “timely” and “accurate”. It was a specially planned operation to make it impossible for Russian forces to use these airfields to attack the front line and Ukrainian cities.

Drones are low, small and slow, and cannot be easily detected by traditional air defences, which poses a huge threat to vital military installations.
